How do you join a Young Farmers Club?
Gloucestershire has 15 Young Farmers Clubs that all have their own strengths!
Some clubs have more Junior members than others and some clubs meet on different nights of the week.
You need to find a club that suits you!
Many new members join a club through their friends so that determines the club that they join. Some new members contact the office. Dependant on your age and your locality we may suggest that you visit two clubs to see which one suits you best.
Please make sure you contact your chosen Club before you visit so that they can look out for you. You may need to contact the office to get the club’s contact details.
Young Farmers tend to meet weekly from September to May, with summer activities from May to September. Most clubs have their own printed programme.
Once you are happy to join your local club you will be asked to complete a membership form and pay a subscription (this varies from Club to Club). Membership forms can be downloaded from this site from the “Rules and Forms” page and once completed need to be given to the Club treasurer or secretary.
Each Club runs its own affairs starting with an AGM in September. Every club runs a little differently to another so please don’t be afraid to ask the county office or a club if you have any questions.
Young Farmers members are aged between 10 and 26 and you don’t have to be one to be one!
